Potterspury Village Hall
NB the hall holds a Performing Rights Licence, which permits the use of copyright music in any form (e.g. Disc, tape, digital, radio or live performances). However the hall does not hold a TV licence, therefore television receivers may not be used to receive programmes that are covered under this licence regulations.

Standard Conditions of Hire
If the Hirer is any doubt as to the meaning of the following, the Hall Booking Secretary should be immediately consulted.
The Hirer will, during the period of hiring, be responsible for supervision of the premises, the fabric and the contents, their care, safety from damage however slight or change of any sort and the behaviour of all persons using the premises whatever their capacity, including proper supervision of car-parking arrangements so as to avoid obstruction of the highway.
The Hirer shall ensure that any activities for children under eight years of age comply with the provisions of the Children Act 1989 and that only fit and proper persons have access to children and vulnerable adults.
The Hirer shall not sub-let or use the premises for any unlawful purpose or in any unlawful way nor do anything to bring onto the premises anything that may endanger the same or any insurance polices in respect thereof.
The Hirer shall be responsible for obtaining a licence if required for the sale of intoxicating liquor and for the observance of the conditions of the licence. The Hirer shall comply with all conditions and regulations made in the respect of the premises by the Fire Authority, Local Authority, the Local Magistrates' Court or otherwise, particularly in connection with any event.
The Hirer shall, if preparing, serving or selling food, observe all relevant food health and hygiene regulations. The Premises is provided with a fridge.
The Hirer must report all accidents involving injury to the public by completing the relevant details in the Village Hall Accident Book held in the kitchen.
The Hirer shall ensure that nothing is done on or in relation to the premises in contravention of the law relating to gaming, betting and lotteries.
The Hirer shall indemnify the Committee for the cost of repair of any damage done to the fabric or the contents of the building may which occur during the period of the hiring as a result of the hiring. A deposit against damage will be made at the time of the hiring this will be returned to the hirer provided the hall is left in a satisfactory condition after hiring.
The Hirer shall ensure that all storage spaces in the Hall (including meeting room, Kitchen and all other spaces) shall not be used, attempted to be used or interfered with in anyway, save for those that have been specifically allocated for, or allow access to the hirer.
If the Hirer wishes to cancel the booking before the date of the event and the Committee is unable to conclude a replacement book, the question of payment or the repayment of the fee shall be at the discretion of the Committee.
At the End of the hiring, the hirer shall be responsible for leaving the premises and the surrounds in a clean and tidy condition, properly locked and secured unless directed otherwise and any contents temporarily removed from their usual position properly replaced, otherwise the Committee shall be at liberty to make an additional charge.
In the Event of the Hall or any part thereof being rendered unfit for the use for which it has been hired the Committee shall not be liable to the Hirer for any resulting loss or damage whatsoever.
The Hirer must ensure that all music finishes at Midnight.
The hirer shall, and shall ensure that the Hirer's invitees, comply with the prohibition of smoking in public places provisions of the Health Act 2006 and regulations made there under. Any person who breaches this provision shall be asked to leave the premises.
